Faces

I’ve learned that seeing faces of any kind (human, animal, other-worldly, etc.) in everyday surroundings is a real thing called “Pareidolia” and is not very uncommon. Since I’ve seen faces everywhere for as long as I can remember, I want to learn more about Pareidolia. For now, here is an example that jumped out yesterday as I was walking past my wall-hanging (in my post of May 1st). Do you see it too?

  1. I see an owl. But then I have been seeing faces in things since childhood when I saw faces in the textured ceiling tiles and in most things with patterns.

  2. Well, I did see the owl right off. I see faces pretty often on things which immediately brings to mind those song lyrics......Sometimes I feel like somebody's watching me. LOL. It's a bit like cloud watching, don't you think?

  3. I saw an owl and a bird perched on a branch. I also saw what I thought was a "comedy" mask (as opposed to "tragedy"). If you want to get technical, I also saw a mosquito in the triangle below the owl.

  4. I didn't realize there was a word for it - but yes - I see an owl - and a mosquito. It reminds me of clouds, too - and those optical illusions - "What do you see first - a vase or faces?" - LOL - ;))
