Guest Artist!

Over 40 years ago my dear friend Marilyn and I lived near each other until my family moved away. However, distance and time have not kept us from staying in touch.

I always knew Marilyn was a talented artist, but hadn’t seen her work in many years. Then earlier this week she sent me an email with her drawing below attached (click it to enlarge). I found it to be breathtaking!

This is Marilyn’s drawing of her 9 year old granddaughter Sofia. When I asked her for a few words to accompany the drawing she replied the following:

“I think this picture reflects Sofia’s personality perfectly, serious but fun loving. I think I spent 2-3 hours on this each day for 3 days.”

“Sofia”

Marilyn doesn’t have a blog, but I felt this drawing should be shared, so I suggested it be posted here on my blog. Enjoy!

  3. She is definitely one talented artist. Good of you to share it with us.

Looks like the "inside joke" about mole hills was on me. I wrote "mole holes" and didn't proof read what I had writen. The rest was correct, though.
